Cobourg

Last week we went to Cobourg, Ontario to visit Ryan's parents and get some help fixing our van. We thought we would have a lazy weekend, but they put us right to work! We found some coveralls to wear and then we were all business.

Here we are hard at work. It was a tough job, but someone had to do it.When we finished up at the garage, I thought we were all done. But they had a little more work for me to do. The lawn mower was pretty fun to drive, and I only scraped one tree.
After all of that hard work we decided we needed to go have a little fun. We drove to Peterborough which is about 40 minutes away. We went to Trent University where Ryan studied for a while after his mission and walked around campus. Then we went to a free zoo, which was really good for being free. They had a lot of cool animals there - lemurs, bobcats, camels, a turtle, goats, cougars, monkeys, and more.

I thought it was funny that all of the animals came right up to Ryan. They were all watching him. Maybe they thought he had some food to share.

Go Cougars!

A pretty sunset we saw lookout outside the dining room window.

There was a way cool free zoo like that in Chicago too, zoos are just fun things, aren't they. I like them. The donkeys look so stubby and short. I'm glad I'm not a donkey.
