My two weeks of visiting my family in Washington is now over and I am back in Montreal. To be honest, I'm a little sad to be back - its just so much fun being home and seeing everyone! And now I have to get back to normal life, which now means looking for a job. Ugh. I just got a work visa, which is exciting, but it is tough to find a job here when I don't speak French. I also have an interview with the immigration people on Thursday. Its an interview to finalize my permenant residency, which means I will soon be done with all of this immigration stuff! Hooray!
Here I am with my nephew Preston and niece Kenna. We are good buds.
While I was home we did some crafts which was lots of fun. These are my countdown blocks made of wood, scrapbook paper, Mod Podge, and vinyl letters and numbers. I took this picture yesterday so there were 18 days until my mom's birthday! Aren't countdowns fun?
This is my menu board which I will hang in my kitchen. Its made by putting vinyl letters on a cute piece of scrapbook paper and then framing it. Super easy! Since it's a glass frame, you can write your weekly menu on it with a dry erase marker and then just erase it for the next week. I usually write my weekly menu on a slip of paper which gets buried in my purse or lost, so this menu board will be wonderful!
