Parents

Well, my parents just left after their week-long visit to Montreal.  We had a lot of fun and it went by so fast.  We were able to see quite a few sights.  The weather was surprisingly nice, except for the day we planned on being outside the most. We still braved the cold weather and walked around Old Montreal all day.  We were nearly frozen by the time we got back to the hotel, but it was worth it.

After dropping my parents off at the airport on Friday, Ryan came home from work and told me, "I miss your parents".  I did too.  We think they should come visit again.  We would also love any other visitors (hint, hint)

St. Joseph's Oratory.  A man named Father Andre envisioned building this Catholic church on top of the hill.  You can see the dome from several miles away. Its a very pretty building.

This is Father Andre's original chapel.  He lived in the upper level and held services in the small, one room, lower level. Its amazing to see that he started with this tiny little chapel.
The view from St. Joseph's Oratory.

We ended up seeing 3 catholic churches throughout the week.  They are very pretty and interesting, but nothing compares to the temple.  It was too dark to get a very good shot of the temple, but I thought I would post it anyway.

Ah, we love the French signs.

We also did a quick visit to the art museum, shopped, ate some good food (and unfortunately, some not so good food), saw some old buildings, celebrated Thanksgiving, and enjoyed being together!

I wish I could have come!!! I'm going to work on getting a passport just in case I get a chance to visit.
Your hair is getting really long. And your maple leaf hat makes me laugh (in a good way).
