Our New Place

Ryan and I have finally found a place to live next year!  A while ago we decided that we wanted to find a better, cheaper apartment, and we finally made a decision on where to live.  Our new place is in Pointe-Claire, which is about 25 minutes southwest of where we are now and about 15 minutes into the main part of Montreal.  The apartment will be only 10 minutes away from where Ryan works, which we love.  It also has a huge balcony, which we also love.  Well, I should say that I love, because Ryan hasn't actually seen our new apartment yet.  Our schedules were hectic, so I had to go without him to see the apartment.  I took pictures to show Ryan that night, and thankfully he is not too picky and we decided to take it.

There is more kitchen space in this apartment compared to where we live now.  There is also a second bedroom (so you can come visit us!) and lots of storage space.  There is a large park at the end of the block and a river within walking distance.

 In Montreal, most leases expire and everyone moves in July.  July 1 is called 'moving day' and it is pretty much impossible to get a moving van without spending a ridiculous amount of money.  Thankfully, our new apartment will be empty a couple of days before our current lease expires, so we will be able to move slowly and take several trips in our van.  We move next week and we are excited to get to know the new area.
