Baby Noah has finally arrived! He was 9lbs 6oz and 21 inches long. Pretty big for a first baby! He is eating really well and is quickly putting on more weight. He is such a sweet boy and we are crazy about him. I'm recovering quickly and trying to get enough sleep. He is now 1 week old, I can't believe how fast the days go by.
Noah is a stubborn boy, he did not want to come out! I had set an induction date but I thought that there was no way I would actually be induced. But I went 11 days past my due date and had no signs of labor no matter what I tried. I went in for my induction on Wednesday at 7am. When we got there we were sent to the waiting room, where we waited...and waited. After waiting for an hour and a half Ryan tracked down the nurse and was told it would be at least 2 more hours. So, we went out for breakfast and walked around the mall to pass the time. They called us when they finally had a room open and I started the pitocin at 1:30pm. It took a while for the contractions to get going but they eventually came, and boy did they hurt! Women aren't joking when they say that labor is hard! I spent my time walking the halls, used the jacuzzi tub, and sat on the exercise ball. At about 10:45 the contractions started getting really really bad and I asked for the epidural. I was 7 1/2 cm and I was exhausted. I started shaking, feeling light headed and got sick. I was against epidurals at first, but once I had one, I was so glad that I did. I was able to rest and get some strength back. Just under 2 hours later I was at 10cm and ready to push. Noah's heart rate starting dropping with the contractions (but I was too out of it to panic). The doctor said we would try pushing, but if he didn't come out soon she would have to help him out with the vacuum/suction thing. I wanted that baby out, and luckily I did a good job pushing so the vacuum wasn't necessary. I pushed for 45 minutes and then Noah was born. They put him on me and I was in love. I love being a mom and taking care of sweet little Noah.

He is beautiful. Good job. We wish we could be there to hold, kiss and love him.
I heard you had him and have been checking the blog for the details often. I suppose you have been busy! Tate was that weight, but one inch shorter. Noah is ADORABLE! In that second to last picture, do you think he resembles your dad? I know we all try to see who babies look like and it changes all the time, but I'm just sayin' =) There's nothing like a sweet new baby! Happy recovery!
how exciting! Nathan and I were anxiously waiting for pics and info on the blessed day. I can't think of anything better than a new baby and they just get cuter as they grow. That's one thing I love about babies, they make everything seem new again because now you imagine what it must be like for them to see things for the first time and suddenly old things or simple things become new and interesting again. Anyways, I love kids. I'm glad you're lovin it too. you're a good mom.
I just saw the blog! I haven't been looking since I have the same pictures you do. Maybe he does look like your dad like Shelly said. He would like that. Hope you are still feeling well. Keep up the good work.
